I Love You and......

I am not sure where to begin with this. My three children are told I Love You at every opportunity. Just so that they will know. When the oldest two were very little it was an immediate response --- I Love You To! At some point, I am guessing around 6, this tapered off. Now it is not an automatic response and trust me when I say you will never hear it within 2 days of punishing one of them. Now, all of that being said. There is still a little one in the house, "Red".

The past two weeks we have been staying at my parents house due to some painting going on in our house. So our schedule has been just a wee bit mixed up and rushed. Wednesday of this week when I took the children to my parent's house after school and before I left to go to work I told Red, I Love You! My response from him was, "I Love You To Mommy, and I Like You."

Just when the homework, the real work, the after school activities, the cleaning, etc., etc., etc. threaten to pull you under and not ever let you resurface God places that tine ray of sunshine in our path to say; Have you truly counted your blessings today? Whether we see them or not they are there not always in a big way but in the tiniest details.
